Full Moon in Cancer

The inner awareness that we can draw upon for personal growth is always heightened at the point of a Full Moon.  This month with the Moon at home in the cardinal water sign of Cancer our psychological receptivity will be further enhanced.  Our feelings and sentiments are clear indicators of our emotional well being and our ability to utilise the dextrality of the crab to nurture and protect ourselves and others.  When the water element of Cancer is balanced we are receptive, gentle and accepting; when this element is over emphasised we can become overtly concerned, hypersensitive and cling on to the past at all cost; When this element is under emphasised and we tend to be detached, withdrawn and defensive.  

In opposition to the Moon the Sun sits in the Cardinal Earth sign of Capricorn and square to them both, in the Cardinal fire sign of Aries sits Mars – the result is the red right angled triangle which is plain for all to see.  

How do we protect and nurture ourselves and others?

As Venus the planet of interpersonal enjoyment passes over Pluto we may find eliminating deep emotional attachments easier, clearing the way for change, or an unveiling of truth and a subsequent renewal of our sense of self and community.

With the Moon, trine to Chiron in Pisces, and in opposition to Saturn, the patient, responsible and mature use of our fiery self- will to nurture and protect ourselves, and others, will result in spiritual healing if carried out generously and creatively.  As you heal you grow spiritually and your energy field grows.  A certain spiritual power is generated in your soul and your thoughts, words and actions start to exert more and more influence over the rest of the world.  In fact, some of your thoughts become more powerful than the actions of other people.  Your impressions can change the energy of a room or a group.  A higher soul can affect an entire city, its light by transforming all frequencies.

A human being is part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space.  We experience ourselves, our thoughts and feelings as something separate from the rest.  A kind of optical delusion of consciousness.  This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us.  Our task mut be to free ourselves from the prison by widening our circle or compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and it’s beauty.  The true value of a human being is determined by the measure and the sense in which they have obtained liberation from the self.  We all require a substantially new manner of thinking if humanity is to survive”

The conjunction of the Sun with Jupiter greatly expands our vision of what is possible and gives us an extra boost of motivation and determination.  With Mercury station direct and turning retrograde this next three weeks can be used to look back over our minds and see where we are willing to let more light in.

All major religions carry the message of love, compassion, forgiveness, contentment and self-discipline, and that he lifting of the heavenly veil, leads to the knowledge that all stars shine because of the one light.  The treasury of light which is our consciousness, is the infinite grandeur of our deepest self, which is the self of All.  The result of this self-discipline is Christ consciousness.  In the Gospel of Philip these teachings come as a proclamation “ Jesus Crucified the cosmos”. And in Paul “ the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ by which the cosmos has been crucified”.

So to free ourselves from the imprisonment of these veils of consciousness we must first « crucify » the cosmos, this represents freeing ourselves of the cosmos as an objective reality and understanding it to be an ever changing dream within the constancy of consciousness.  To discover we are the permanent reality of consciousness, through which the cosmos passes.

We do not exist within the cosmos the cosmos exists within us
