Nurture
We are all in this together
Today the Moon is very much at home in the watery constellation of Cancer. Under its protective shell the crab is soft and tender, the psychological receptivity of the Moon allows us to embrace our feelings and sentiments whilst caring and nurturing others. With the Sun square to Pluto, this is a day to see how we care. To understand the difference between being overly concerned by smothering or being defensive and withdrawn and the protection we can provide by being reflective and accepting.
The Seven generation stewardship is a concept that urges the current generation of humans to live and work for the benefit of the seventh generation into the future. It is believed to have originated with the Great Law of the Iroquois – which holds appropriate to think seven generations ahead and decide whether the decisions they make today would benefit their children seven generations into the future. It is frequently associated with environmental stewardship or ‘sustainability’ but in it’s broader context it concerns ALL our deliberations.
« In every deliberation, we must consider the impact on the seventh generation… even if it requires having skin as thick as the bark of a pine. »
Or a strong as the carapace of a crab! The Dalai Llama is also known to has said….
