Twice in a Blue Moon

As I write this Post the Moon sits in Leo, the constellation of self expression, passion and playfulness.  By the end of the week it will rise in Full in the constellation of Virgo.  Where as fire signs give us the energy for creativity, Earth signs asks us to look at the material.  Virgo, the Maiden, is about developing our skills and abilities through improvement; of ourselves, our environment and by helping others.

With spring in the air it’s a time associated with « New beginnings » the cleaning of our homes and, for those of us with gardens, of organising and preparing the ground for planting.  For the second time this year we are blessed with a Blue Moon.  As nothing happens by « chance » we could look at this Moon and the energy it provides as a « second chance » to better ourselves.

To let go of the obsessive, compulsive, perfectionist workaholic side of material existence and to see where we have stagnated or  have been careless and disorganised.  To take each task one at a time and really enjoy the time spent to accomplish it!  Whether it be cleaning our windows or weeding the flower beds. To be mindful of our actions and to stop when we feel the urge to « get the job done ».  To work with an attitude of gratitude and remember if a job is worth doing its worth doing well.
