Play of Consciousness

A spiritual Autobiography – Swami Muktananda

Swami Muktananda toured the world three times, from 1970 to 1981, teaching Siddha Meditation and awakening people’s Divine inner energy through Shaktipat initiation. In May 1982, a few months before Baba Muktananda took Mahasamadhi (conscious death), he passed the power of the Siddha lineage to Swami Chidvilasananda and Swami Nityananda. Swami Nityananda retired in 1985. Now Swami Chidvilasananda, or Gurumayi as she is affectionately called, continues the work – giving people the experience of their own unlimited inner depths through Meditation and Shaktipat. Wherever Gurumayi goes, people receive this Grace, this unconditional love, this experience of their own divinity, which is the hallmark of the Siddha tradition.

“A seeker once asked a Master, “Which is that temple I can goto and worship? Which is that God in front of whom I can wave lights?”.
Immediately the Master said, « This very body is the best temple, is the biggest temple of God. » The individual soul Itself is God. When your forgetfulness and wrong understanding are erased and destroyed, immediately you become aware of ‘So Ham’, the awareness “I am That’ And with that awareness, you worship God. Look upon others with great respect and love and that is the true worship”. Swami Muktananda
